Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-20
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how ISBIS collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the Platform as an Applicant, parent or guardian, Agent, or School representative. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as contact details, academic records, personal statements, identification documents, and payment-related details submitted during registration or the application process. We also collect information automatically, including device data, IP address, browser type, and usage activity through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal data to operate and improve the Platform, match Applicants with Schools and Agents, process applications and admission assessments, verify identity and prevent fraud, communicate service-related updates, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing With Schools and Agents
When you submit an application, favourite a School, or request a match, relevant personal and academic data is shared with the Schools and certified Agents you choose to engage with, so they can process your application. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. See our Cookie Policy for details on the categories of cookies we use and how to manage your preferences.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your Account remains active or as needed to provide the Platform, complete the admissions process, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer required for these purposes.
7. Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including access controls and encryption in transit, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights through your account settings or by contacting us through the support details provided on the Platform.
9. Children's Privacy
Where an Account or application relates to a minor applicant, the data is submitted and managed by a parent, legal guardian, or another individual authorised to act on the applicant's behalf, in line with our eligibility requirements for registration.
10. International Data Transfers
Because Schools, Agents, and Applicants are located in different countries, personal data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions other than your own. Where required, we take appropriate steps to ensure such transfers are subject to adequate safeguards.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
12. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your personal data is handled, please contact us through the support details provided on the Platform.
